Depotting Eyeshadows

For some time, I did not want to depot my eyeshadows. I thought it was a waste of time and I was happy having all of my mini drugstore palettes.
Just recently, I started watching YouTube videos about depotting shadows and placing them in a Z-palette. It looked like a great idea!
So, I got a knife and rubbing alcohol and started taking out the shadows! I made a video of how I did it.
I depotted Covergirl, Wet 'n Wild, Estée Lauder, and Lancome.
Some of the eyeshadow pots are magnetic, but others need a magnetic piece on them so that they can stay on the magnetic palette.

  1. Great tutorial! I was just saying yesterday that I need to just depot all of my wet n wild and almay eyeshadows. They are taking up way too much space right now! I think I'll buy a z-palette and then do this.

  2. This is a really good idea, I'd probably mess it up some how if I did it though!

  3. I need to do this, especially with those large palettes with just one or two colours remaining. But yes, I'm a klutz beyond hope and there would be eyeshadow powder flying all over the place!
