Flawless Full Coverage Foundation | Acne, Redness, & Scarring

Hey everyone, how are you? Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and not to crazy Black Friday (if you went out shopping!)

I've had pretty bad breakouts lately, and I'm trying to get it under control, but not sure what is causing it. Because of this, I figured it would be the perfect time to show you my flawless full coverage foundation routine for acne, redness, and scarring.

Unfortunately, raised acne is near impossible to conceal, even though the redness is concealed. Fortunately, acne scarring (which is majority of my blemishes) and redness can be concealed well.

When choosing a foundation, I go for something that is long lasting and can control oil throughout the day. For concealer, specifically for covering acne, I choose something with a sticky/drier formula. I find that these formulas usually stay on longer and won't melt off my face. To set everything in place, I like to use a powder that will mattify my face, yet not make my face look dried up. Below are my favorite picks right now that match the description above.

I used my Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation in Light 44, Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly, MAC Studio Finish concealer in NC15, Becca Blotting Powder Perfector, and Skindinavia Bridal Makeup Finish Spray. These products work nicely together and don't look cakey, which can be an issue when doing full coverage on acne.

Mani Monday | Essie Mink Muffs

Happy Monday! Can't believe we are already half way through November. Is it just me, or do the last couple months of the year fly by?!

For today's manicure, I used Essie Mink Muffs. It is a beautiful neutral medium brown polish. Essie describes it as a "smoky plush taupe". I've been waiting a while to find a color such as this. Finally, I found it last week! This is beautiful for fall and it reminds me of coziness.

Cozy Fall/Winter Makeup

If you don't already know, I love the fall season. I'm also starting to appreciate winter a bit more. Living in Florida, we don't get the strong winter cold, but what we get, I enjoy. Since I'm enjoying this season, I wanted to show you all my "cozy fall/winter makeup". This makeup reminds me of getting into a soft, warm sweater, grabbing a mug of coffee or tea, and cuddling up either on your own or with a loved one.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate

I just love the way scrubs make my skin feel. I purchased a Sephora kit that included a 0.5 fl oz size of the Kate Somerville ExfoliKate, and I must say, I fell in love. It is pricey, coming in at $22 for the size I have, but I think it is definitely worth it. This scrub is supposed to work both physically and enzymatically to reveal healthy, glowing skin. The enzymes that are in this scrub are from papaya, pineapple, and pumpkin.

The scrub is a dark hunter green color, and smells almost like ground ginger. I personally like the scent, but some may find it too strong. I usually use no more than a pea-sized amount. The granules are finely milled and feel great against my skin. Let me give a fair warning: it can sting and tingle the skin for a bit, but it goes away.

I usually work it into my clean skin and exfoliate for 30 seconds, then I let it sit on top of my skin for 1-2 minutes. After that, I rinse and my skin feels so smooth.

I think that is definitely worth the price!
