True Love's Kiss | Enchanted

Hey everyone! It's been a while since you've seen a Disney Princess eye makeup, but I actually did this one a few months ago but never got around to posting it up!

Today's look is inspired by Giselle from Enchanted. The eye look was taken from her dress that she made out of the curtains in the apartment. They featured turquoise and pink and of course, I added some red on my waterline to represent her hair.

Essie Wedding 2014

Hey everyone! I just wanted to show you the Essie Wedding 2014 collection. I purchased the mini cube that included four pretty colors, "She Said Yes", "Meet the Parents", "Got Engaged!" and "Love Every Minute". Some of the four delicate shades are on the sheer side and need multiple layers.

The polishes are mini, but even so, I love having baby polishes!

Essie She Said Yes

She Said Yes is a a sheer whitish cream shade with subtle shimmers. You can't really see the shimmers unless you are under certain lighting. This one required 3 layers to be opaque. 

 Essie Got Engaged!

Got Engaged! is a nude-toned blush pink with subtle shimmers as well. These shimmers are even less noticeable than She Said Yes, but still present. Got Engaged! needed 2 coats for this picture.

Essie Love Every Minute

Love Every Minute is a gorgeous pastel coral shade. I found this polish the most opaque from the collection. It does not contain any shimmers. This is perfect for the summer months!

 Essie Meet the Parents

Meet the Parents is a pretty pastel blue polish. There are no shimmers present, and was opaque with two coats. I don't have many blues in my collection and found this one to be gorgeous.

Coastal Scents Revealed 2 | Urban Decay Naked 3 Dupe!

Hey everyone! I'm pretty excited for today's post because it can end up saving you TONS of money. When the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette came out, I thought it was just ok. Because, honestly, who would want pinkish shadows? (At least I didn't!)  So I happily passed up the whole 'hype' around the eyeshadow palette. But, after seeing SO many tutorials and realizing that my collection was missing pink and rosy toned shadows, I wanted the palette.

However, I could not justify spending $54 on an eyeshadow palette that in reality I didn't need. I began to look for dupes for the Naked 3, but the ones I found were not really dupes or still seemed pretty expensive. When I thought I gave up all hope, I randomly went on to coastalscents.com to see what was new. Lo and behold, the first thing that popped up was the Coastal Scents Revealed 2 palette! I have the first Revealed palette and they are pretty much exact dupes for Urban Decay Naked 1 and Naked 2. Not only did the colors from Revealed 2 palette seem very similar to Naked 3, but it was on sale for $9.95! That is a steal! Unfortunately, it is no longer at that price, but it does sell for $19.95 when on sale.

Coastal Scents Revealed 2 comes with 20 shadows that are shimmer, matte, and some glittery. The palette is very thin, which makes it storage effective, but has no mirror. The packaging is made out of cardboard and has a magnetic closing to keep it shut.

Below are the Revealed 2 swatches. The first 10 shadows are on top, and the second row on the bottom.

The shadows are highly pigmented and smooth. Lasting power of the shadows is excellent and stay on all day for me with an eyelid primer.

I took the liberty to number the shadows so you can see which ones correspond to the Naked 3 palette. I went to my local Ulta to swatch the Naked 3 palette as I do not own it. After swatching Naked 3 and Revealed 2, both palettes have similar textures and are both equally pigmented. There are a few shadows from Revealed 2 that are actually more pigmented then Naked 3.

Although some of the Revealed 2 shadows are not precisely the same shade as the Naked 3 ones, they are very close and I would definitely call them dupes! I definitely recommend checking out the Coastal Scents Revealed 2 before purchasing Urban Decay Naked 3. Not only are the shadows very similar, but you get to save $34. I am highly satisfied and no longer desire to have Naked 3 since these are pretty much the same.

Summer Bronzed Glow Makeup

Summertime is the moment we all desire glowing goddess skin. To recreate it, I mixed CoverGirl 3-in-1 Foundation and with a bit of Benefit Sun Beam. For bronzer, I used the Stila Sweet Treat Bronzing Powder, and for a bit of life, used Nars Lovejoy blush. For an extra glow, I applied Benefit's Watts Up! onto my cheekbones.

I used my Urban Decay Naked palette and used the shades Half-Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, and Virgin. I tightlined my upper lash with Stila's Smudgestick in Stingray, and created a cat eye with Stila Stay All Day Liquid liner in Intense Black. For mascara, I used Lancome Hypnose Drama on top and bottom lashes.

For lips, I made a lip combo with Wet n Wild Just Peachy lipstick and Buxom White Russian lipgloss.

Mani Monday: Sephora by OPI Gel French Manicure Kit

 I've always loved a good french manicure, but it does get expensive at the salon. So, I gave up doing them there. I tried them at home, and although they came out good, they weren't perfect. So again, I gave up on french manicures altogether, until recently. The other day, I stopped by Sephora to see what was new, and I found that they brought back Sephora by OPI but in gel polish! Lately, gel polish has been my go-to and new obsession. 

This kit is available at Sephora and sephora.com for $29. It includes two gel polishes, a think brush, nail designs, and instructions. You do need an LED/UV lamp and a gel base coat and gel top coat to use this kit. 

The two polishes included are "White Hot" and "A True Romantic". Sephora by OPI White Hot is an opaque white used for the nail tip. Sephora by OPI A True Romantic is a sheer light pink that is used as the base. 

I didn't use any of the nail design jewels provided, as I'm not a fan of those, but I did use the brush, and I have got to say that this french manicure was the easiest french I have ever done! The brush has skinny bristles and fits perfectly onto the "white tips" of your nails. Since the gel doesn't "dry" and only cures under the light, you have plenty of time to fix any mistakes. One thing I noticed was that the white polish seemed a bit liquidy when used with the provided nail art brush. I made plenty of mistakes, and the brush helped me so much.

The good thing about gel is that it will last a while, and if I want too, I can apply normal nail polish on top of this and it won't ruin it. 

I definitely recommend this kit! If you get a chance, go ahead and check it out.
