The Tarte Be MATTEnificent Amazonian Colored Clay Matte Eye & Cheek Palette (wow! what a mouthful), is a new palette for the Spring season. It retails for $36 and is found at Sephora and Ulta. I did purchase it at Tarte's website, but don't think it is available there at the moment.
The packaging of the palette is a beautiful purple and pink "gem" design on the front, and surrounding it and on the back is a gold plastic. The packaging overall feels sturdy and closes securely.
The palette is all matte, featuring 6 eyeshadows, 2 liners, and a blush. The palette exemplifies beautiful neutral yet rosy/plum hued shades. Perfect for spring!
- Sand out from the crowd (light cream)
- Peach for the stars (a burnt light peach)
- Two plums up (a dark plum)
- Pink outside the box (a pale cool pink)
- Rose to the occasion (a mauve rose)
- View from the taupe (taupe)
- Dream in chocolate (brown liner)
- Don't stand black (black liner)
- Elevated (a rosy blush)
A little index card was placed in the box of the palette that features two looks inspired by beauty guru @hollyannaeree: Your moment in the sun (natural look) and Reach for the stars (more dramatic). It gives step-by-step directions and a diagram of where to place the eyeshadow.
