During the summer I like to have a smaller purse just because I don't feel like lugging around a bigger purse. I enjoy being able to quickly grab this purse and be out the door in a jiffy! Also, I feel a like lighter!

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
I may be a little late on the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette, but I got it for my birthday and I find it to be the best "every day" palette. Some people may get tired of neutral palettes, but this is a little gem. It has a satin highlight shade and 5 matte eyeshadows. The palette retails for $28 and can be found at Sephora, Ulta, or any other place that carry Urban Decay.
The packaging of the palette is somewhat rubberized, (think Nars blushes), and has a good-sized mirror. The size of the palette is very compact and travel friendly.
L-R: Venus, Foxy, W.O.S., Naked 2, Faint, Crave
Although these shadows may have cheaper dupes, I like being able to have all these neutrals in one palette. It makes it easier for me to think of a look that I want to do as opposed to looking at single shadows.

Benefit They're Real | JCP Sephora Event
This past weekend, my local JCP Sephora had a Benefit They're Real event where they were showcasing the new Benefit They're Real Push-Up Liner. The whole place was decorated with orange and black balloons. This was my first Sephora event, so I was pretty stoked!
Brittany, my makeup artist for the event, used various Benefit products on me.
First, she used Porefessional to prime my face. Next she applied the Hello Flawless powder foundation and contoured my face with Hoola and used Rockateur for blush. For my eyes, she used Hoola in the crease and then used the Creaseless Cream Shadow in Bikini-Tini for my lids. She applied Browzings on my eyebrows and applied Hydra Smooth Lip Color in Lip Service. Obviously, the winged liner was applied using the new They're Real Push-Up Liner, and for mascara she applied They're Real mascara.
Just for being a Beauty Insider and getting my complimentary makeup done, I received the Benefit Stay Flawless 15-hour primer as a free gift. If I purchased something (which I did purchase the They're Real Push-Up Liner), then I would get a Benefit mini hand bag (seen above). Brittany also filled in my "face road map" of what I had on.
Overall, I had a great experience and can't wait to go to more events! I'm planning on doing a review of the liner, but I need more time to play with it before I can give you all a thorough review.
Have a great day!

Navy Anchor Mani
Ahoy matey! Today's mani features an anchor and the beautiful navy polish, Zoya Sailor. I searched high and low for a navy polish such as this and am so glad I found one!
Zoya Sailor is a navy creme polish that goes on pretty opaque in one coat, but I tend to put two coats out of habit. In the picture above, it appears more royal blue, but let me tell you, it is very navy in normal lighting.
To create the anchor, I used a dotting tool with two different sized ends, the first being larger, the second being small. To see how I did my nails, watch the video below.

First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay
If you remember a couple months back, I bought the Sephora Favorites Skin Cleanse Vol. 2 kit (view post here) and have used majority of the products at least once. The first one I'm going to review is the First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay ($24, 4.7 oz). Its the one product I have thoroughly used up as of now.
It is a foaming gel cleanser that is suppose to detoxify, cleanse and unclog pores. It claims to control outbreaks and reduce sebum production while making pores appear instantly smaller.
The cleanser is red, obviously due to the red clay, and has a little bit of an iridescent effect. It removed makeup, but I wouldn't say it thoroughly removed it. I recommend using a makeup remover prior to cleansing your face, regardless of the cleanser you use.
As far as pores go, I've never really encountered a product that makes them instantly appear smaller. To me, my pores will always be the same size, no matter what I do to it. Since I mostly have hormonal acne, nothing really helps, so the cleanser probably did help prevent breakouts from dirt and makeup, but it didn't treat acne, which is something I like to have in a cleanser.
Overall, this cleanser is good, but I would not run out to repurchase. To be quite honest, I actually did consider repurchasing it, but decided on the Boscia Clear Complexion Cleanser instead.
