NOTW: China Glaze Light As Air

China Glaze Light As Air is a dusty lavender shade. The nail polish is from the Up & Away collection. Application was smooth and surprisingly the polish dried quickly! I did not observe any streakiness and the polish evenly covered my nail in one coat. I added a second coat because I usually do that!

Look at these lovely flowers! They opened beautifully. I gave them to my mom for her birthday over the weekend.

NOTW: OPI Bubble Bath

Hello lovelies! For the past two weeks, I have decided to give my nails a break from nail polish and let them breathe a bit! I have not done it in a while and thought it was time. At first I was a little nervous about being without nail polish because that is usually what helps my nails grow and stay strong. On their own, my bare nails get very flimsy and peel and end up breaking, so you can only imagine my dilemma! I know I could have put on a nail strengthener, but I wanted absolutely nothing on them. On the contrary, my nails held up pretty well! Until at the very last minute, my index finger on my left hand broke =( I was so sad! So now that nail is shorter than every other one! So enough about me ranting about my nails, here is the NOTW: OPI Bubble Bath.

For me, Bubble Bath is the perfect "nude" shade for my nails and skin tone. It gives an overall polished and manicured look. Bubble Bath is a sheer milky white with pink undertones. Since it is sheer, the nail will show underneath unless you apply 3 or more layers. In the pictures, I have only applied 2 layers. Application was easy and even. Usually for colors like this it is streaky, but not this one. I would have to say that this nail polish may be one of my top favorites! It is a classic shade, and gives your hands a beautiful look! 

NOTW: Revlon Buttercup

Revlon Buttercup is from the Revlon ColorStay Longwear Nail Enamel collection. It claims to wear for up to 11 days* (*but only if used with the Colorstay base and top coats). Usually I can get my manicures to last for 7-9 days with my Orly Bonder and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat. By then, I am ready to change my color! I don't think I would be able to wait 11 days haha. 

Buttercup is a soft, creme pastel yellow. I love pastels for the spring, so get ready to see several pastels from my nail polish collection!

This nail polish has a thin, watery consistency. When I first applied it, I took the amount I normally do from the bottle onto the brush, put it on my nails, and it was an overload of polish! I had to put some of it back, and redo the nail again. Anyways, I learned from that moment that this polish required thin layers. 

I bought Buttercup in August and have been reserving it for the spring. I fell in love with the color at my local drugstore. Looking at it on my nails, I don't know if I like it as much. On its own in the bottle, it is beautiful, but I don't think yellow nails go well with me. (Oh well, it was worth a shot!) I have been wanting to try different shades and color ranges on me and I have almost every color in the rainbow in my collection (except green). Now I know I should stay away from yellow polishes! I'm still not sure if I will keep this polish on my hands all week, but I will try it the first few days and see how it goes. 

NOTW: Butter London Trout Pout

Butter London is a 3 Free nail lacquer meaning that their nail polishes are not formulated with formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP. They retail for $14 and can be found at Sephora and Ulta. 

Butter London's Trout Pout is a opaque cantaloupe color, although I find it to be a bit salmony pink as well. (The picture below looks  more orange). Formulation was nice, however I did experience a little bit of streaking on the first coat. Although it does not look bright in the picture, the polish is brightly colored and I think it is especially perfect for summer.  I love this nail polish, and I also have La Moss, which is my all time favorite dark color! The bottle is cute, and is actually what attracted me to the product. 

It is so difficult to trying to get the true color of the nail polish with a camera! If anyone has suggestions on how to get the camera to pick up the true colors, please let me know!

NOTW: Nails, Inc. Bruton Street

 Good evening! Hope you all had a great weekend! Today I decided to paint my nails with Nails, Inc. Bruton Street. Nails, Inc. classifies this polish as a dusky pink nude shade. Yet, I don't see it as a "nude". It looks more to me like a dusky pink with lilac hues. The application was actually nice with only two coats. The formulation was very smooth and even. I bought this polish at Sephora during the summer for $5.00. I am not sure if it was on sale because they were not going to sell it anymore, or what not, but I did see this shade on Nails Inc. website. At Sephora, Nails Inc. polishes are $9.50, so I think I got a nice deal on it!

NOTW: Valentine's Day

 Hey guys! I know it has been a little bit since my last NOTW, but I come to you today with a little design for Valentine's Day. (I love designs!!!!)

This week's nails feature Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in I Pink I Can, and the little design heart is Ulta Baby Doll. I used a dotting tool to create the heart on my ring finger.

I Pink I Can looks like a pretty pink in the bottle, but once it dries on the nails, it becomes darker and brighter. It is always a disappointment to me whenever I reach for this polish because I expect it to be one color, but when it dries, I remember why I don't use it often.

Here it is indoors, and I would LOVE if it actually was that color, but it is not. In addition, my camera could not pick up the true color of the polish with indoor lighting.

Here is what the polish actually dries too. I was able to capture the true color outdoors. It looks to me like a Barbie kind of color. (I took this picture a while ago, hence the nails are just a wee bit shorter.)

 And....here is the matte version! You can choose to leave it shiny or mattify it, depending on the look you are going for.

NOTW: Revlon Stormy

Its Monday! Time for a new NOTW. Today is Revlon's Top Speed nail polish in Stormy. Its a weird color to categorize, in that it is a grey-purpley with a bit of brown hints. Application was fine with one coat, but I like to apply at least two coats, no matter how opaque the first coat is.
